Theodore Trefon

Theodore Trefon (PhD in African politics, Boston University) is senior researcher at the Belgian Royal Museum for Central Africa and lecturer at ERAIFT/Kinshasa. He has devoted his career to studying environmental governance in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and elsewhere in Central Africa. His expertise includes political economy analysis of natural resources (including National Park governance and wildlife management), state-society relations, social science research methods, urban sociology and aid delivery analysis. Contributing editor to the Review of African Political Economy, Theodore is an experienced political scientist/anthropologist, researcher, professor, project manager and consultant.
