Training of Trainers for WWF

TPP Principal and training coordinator, Samantha Wade, and TPP Director Laure-Hélène Piron, are delivering Training of Trainers learning activities for the WWF - World Wide Fund for Nature. The project will enable WWF staff (some of whom have already undertaken TPP's Political Economy Analysis (PEA) in Action flagship course) to develop the skills and confidence to lead and support other WWF staff and partners in applying PEA skills.

The following WWF teams are taking part: Cameroon, Tanzania, Kenya, Laos, and Central / Eastern Europe.

The Training of Trainers methodology includes:

  • pre-training consultations to confirm objectives and assess participants' needs
  • an online refresher training on the core elements of the PEA framework and key concepts
  • support to participants as they prepare their own tailored PEA training material, using case study examples from their own context
  • an in-person workshop in Nairobi where participants deliver their training material and receive feedback and guidance to deepen their training preparation and delivery skills
  • a repository of training material, including WWF case studies, to support future in-house PEA training

In a separate but related collaboration with WWF, Laure-Hélène is peer reviewing WWF International's efforts to consolidate their political economy and other contextual guidance documents.
