The Policy Practice has been commissioned by WWF International to embed political economy analysis in the People Powering Biodiversity (PPB) initiative, a global programme delivering community-led conservation in five mega-biodiverse countries. As PPB enters its reflection phase, the assignment will conduct light-touch, participatory political economy analyses (PEAs) in three of its contexts — Tanzania, Papua New Guinea and Tunisia — to understand what has enabled or constrained locally led conservation and what lessons should shape future programming.

TPP Director Laure-Hélène Piron and Tunisian researcher Assil Kedissi provided support to the British Embassy in Tunis in the preparation of its new country business plan. The assignment used desk and field research to inform participatory strategic workshops. 

The Policy Practice has been assisting the World Bank Governance Practice pilot clinics and a training course to support the roll-out of its new GovEnable approach since January 2023.
