Embedding Political Economy Analysis in the People Powering Biodiversity (PPB) Initiative

The Policy Practice has been commissioned by WWF International to embed political economy analysis in the People Powering Biodiversity (PPB) initiative, a global programme delivering community-led conservation in five mega-biodiverse countries. As PPB enters its reflection phase, the assignment will conduct light-touch, participatory political economy analyses (PEAs) in three of its contexts — Tanzania, Papua New Guinea and Tunisia — to understand what has enabled or constrained locally led conservation and what lessons should shape future programming.

Study on the political economy of the Tunisian agricultural sector

Commissioned by the Wageningen University, William Kingsmill analysed the opportunities and challenges in the Institutional political and economic context for the implementation of a CSA program, and prepared an assessment of the potentials and constraints for job creation in the agri-food sector, with a particular emphasis on employment for youth and women.
