Tailored political economy support for The Elders

Samantha Wade (TPP Principal) and Neil McCulloch (TPP Director) are working with The Elders staff to deliver three bespoke workshops in August and October 2024. The aim is to develop a flexible, light-touch set of Political Economy Analysis (PEA) guiding questions and to create space to discuss embedding politically-smart ways of thinking and working with the team.

The Elders are independent global leaders working together for peace, justice, human rights and a sustainable planet. They respond to conflicts and existential threats that require a collective response (climate crisis, pandemics, nuclear weapons) through private diplomacy, public advocacy and partnerships.

The bespoke training also includes mentoring opportunities for staff between workshops, using a tailored PEA framework to unpack the different problems within each of the threats and to generate interventions relevant to The Elders’ ways of working.
