St Helena governance peer review

St Helena is a British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic Ocean. In 2021, it transitioned to a ministerial system of government, handing over more power to locally elected representatives from which ministers are selected.

TPP Director Laure-Hélène Piron is peer reviewing a study on how this new governance system could be further strengthened to meet the expectations of St Helena's population while being accountable to the British government (which provides 2/3rd of St Helena's budget). 

The project is being delivered through the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office's Democratic Governance Centre of Expertise which is managed by the Westminster Foundation for Democracy.
