Sarah Logan has a Master of Public Administration degree from Columbia University and a LLB from the University of Cape Town. She is an experienced development economist and qualified lawyer who has worked closely with governments of several countries affected by fragility and conflict on a range of economic policy reforms. This has included working with the Yemeni government for the last 3 years. She led the International Growth Centre’s (IGC) engagement with the Executive Bureau which covered workstreams on electricity sector reform, telecommunications sector reform, and an institutional assessment of the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries, as well as a workstream with the Economic Team on the impact that customs exchange rate reform would have on domestic retail prices of food and fuel. Additionally, she oversaw the IGC’s engagement with the UN Special Envoy’s Office on economic aspects of Yemen’s peace process. She has a demonstrated ability to engage effectively and collaboratively with policymaker partners in Yemen on economic policy reform efforts.
