Political Economy of the Energy Transition in the Global South - Webinar Series

The Policy Practice, together with the Thinking and Working Politically Community of Practice, is organising a series of three webinars on the Political Economy of the Energy Transition in the Global South. The webinars will look at three topics:

1. The political economy of country platforms (co-organised with ODI Global)
2. The political economy of carbon pricing
3. The political economy of gender in the energy transition

The first webinar will take place on Thursday 15 January 2026. 

Each webinar will bring together expert panelists, together with researchers, development partners, and practitioners to discuss the complex political economy around each of these aspects of the energy transition. To ensure a frank discussion, the webinars will use the Chatham House rule and will not be recorded.
