Political economy analysis of migration management in Nigeria

The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has commissioned an analysis of Nigeria's migration management system, to better understand the incentives of stakeholders - both officials and Nigerian citizens.

This study will deepen the UK-Nigeria collaboration on migration, in line with the recently signed MoU between the two countries which aims to protect Nigerian citizens while ensuring that individuals who exploit legal migration pathways or engage in criminal activities are held accountable.

The research is being undertaken by TPP Director Laure-Hélène Piron and TPP Associate Tobe Nneli who will undertake interviews and focus groups discussions in Lagos and Abuja.

The project is delivered for the FCDO through the Westminster Foundation for Democracy Politics, Governance and Rights Centre of Expertise.
