PERL Engaged Citizens Constituency Influence Story No.1 - Constitutional Change in Nigeria - July 2024

This story traces how PERL and its predecessor programmes supported civil society, media, trade unions and legislators to secure constitutional amendments granting financial autonomy to Nigeria's State Houses of Assembly and state judiciaries, and how that autonomy is beginning to translate into stronger scrutiny of public spending, alongside continuing efforts on federal audit reform and local government autonomy.
