Nigeria: Partnership for Learning for All

The Partnership for Learning for All (PLANE) is a 7 year, £95m programme led by DAI and funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. It represents one window of intervention in a broader package of investment intended to enable a more inclusive and effective basic education system in Nigeria. It seeks to do this through improvements in teaching and learning with a focus on foundational skills; through unlocking governance bottlenecks for better education service delivery; through improvements in the regulation of the nonstate sector and through embedding the use of data and evidence within the education system.

The Policy Practice will provide on demand support for political economy analysis, including analysis of institutions and power relations, in order to support strategic and programming decisions taken by the core programme team.

During its inception phase, The Policy Practice team is compiling Place Level Assessments providing baseline information on the education sector in Kaduna, Kano and Jigawa states. A separate report will cover education policy developments at Federal Government level.
