Draft USAID Applied Political Economy Analysis Field Guide (2016)

This working document is one of the early versions of the USAID guide on political economy analysis (PEA).

It explains what is PEA, why it is valuable, when to do it, and how it fits with other USAID assessments and sector processes. It then sets out how to undertake a PEA, including required resources and how to ensure ownership, and concludes with how to use PEA findings.
