This applied Political Economy Analysis was prepared by the American University of Armenia (AUA) Acopian Center for the Environment, contracted by Deloitte Consulting, for the USAID/Armenia Improved Water Management for Sustainable Economic Growth Program.

This PEA’s overarching question is: How do the political and socio-economic contexts of Armenia enable and constrain efforts to improve water governance in country? The improvements sought are ensuring equity of access to water and greater economic growth while maintaining adequate environmental flows and water quality for the sustainability of the country’s freshwater resources.
