Susie Alegre

Susie Alegre is a specialist in human rights, governance and the rule of law. She combines practical experience in law with policy work on human rights and criminal justice from both NGOs and international organisations perspectives. She was Anti-Terrorism Adviser to the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights and worked on anti-corruption in Uganda for the EU Delegation. Her clients include the Council of Europe, UNODC, UN OHCHR and UN OCT.  Her recent assigments range from discrimination and human rights in border management to the human rights implications of technology on democratic processes. She is the Founder of the Island Rights Initiative and has particular expertise in human rights and governance for small island jurisdictions.
